For our customers to pay the lowest price for their items they need to obtain a letter of referral from one of the many statutory or voluntary agencies with which we work in partnership.
This helps us ensure that the people who buy low cost furniture from us are those individuals who really need it, and cannot afford to buy their furniture at new prices. While showing proof of benefits or low income is one way of doing this, for most customers it’s easiest to show a referral form with their details.
We aim to work with as many partner agencies as we can, to ensure that all sections of the community can access our services. We accept referrals from a wide range of agencies including:
- Housing associations
- Local authority housing and social services departments
- Homelessness organisations
- Rehabilitation centres
- Supported living schemes and service providers
- Units and services that help specialist groups such as asylum seekers and mental health service users
- Community groups
- The Probation Service
